Between is the renovation of a 250-square-metre apartment located on the piano nobile of a nineteenth-century building in Turin’s Crocetta district. Designed for two remote workers who divide their time between Turin, Biarritz and New York, the apartment was conceived as a stable base within a mobile lifestyle.
The intervention preserves the historic character of the space while introducing a clearer and more flexible layout. Two smaller rooms were merged to create a generous bedroom, revealing an original frescoed vault that becomes a central architectural feature. A new walk-in wardrobe volume emphasizes the height and spatial quality of the room.
Individual sensibilities are reflected in the bathrooms, while shared spaces provide balance and continuity. The living room is warm and luminous, and the kitchen plays a central role as a fully lived-in space, combining classical references with a contemporary approach.
Together is the renovation of an apartment located on the piano nobile of a historic villa overlooking Lake Como, surrounded by a carefully maintained garden and century-old trees. Conceived for a couple whose lives unfold across different places and rhythms, the project was imagined as a shared home able to turn distance into proximity.
The intervention focuses on reconfiguring the entrance, kitchen and living areas, transforming an originally narrow access into a generous and articulated spatial sequence. Architectural details from the façade are echoed inside, restoring the refinement expected of a residence of this scale. A stainless-steel kitchen introduces a contemporary element, integrating seamlessly with the apartment’s classical character.
More than a functional space, the kitchen becomes a place of display and encounter, hosting the owners’ eclectic collection of objects gathered over time. Together is shaped as a home built around dialogue, balance and shared sensibility.
Across is the renovation of a 100-square-metre apartment located in the Santa Croce district of Venice, within a listed historic building. Designed for two professionals who regularly return to the city, the project was conceived as a second home connected to movement rather than permanence.
Heritage and structural constraints prevented the full integration of kitchen and living spaces, leading to an alternative approach. The service areas were conceived as a single architectural volume, integrated into the living space instead of remaining separate rooms, allowing the apartment to feel continuous and balanced. A compact home office was carefully integrated to support remote working.
Material choices reinforce the dialogue between past and present. Original parquet flooring was restored, while later finishes were replaced with traditional Venetian terrazzo. Across is a home shaped by passage, difference and the pleasure of returning to Venice.
